In the course of collecting etchings by Percy Robertson, I came across this small booklet written by the artist. It describes the history and views around the scenes he has etched. Of course each entry descibes an etching, and where I can I have included a copy of this. If I do not include a picture of the etching, and you do know of a copy, please let me know.
As these words were written around the 1880's, I though it would be of interest to those who know the area, and can contrast it to today's rushing world.
This booklet contains etchings of various London landmarks, and contemporary poetry to accompany the illustrations.
Again it could prove illuminating to see how those in the Victorian Age saw and felt about their surroundings.
